JYJ’s Junsu has successfully finished his first performance in the musical Elisabeth.

On February 13, C-jes Entertainment, Junsu’s agency, reported that Junsu received favorable reviews from experts for his first performance in the musical Elisabeth.

The musical Elisabeth is a musical play loved by many people for neatly 20 years ever since it was premiered in 1992 in Vienna, Austria. In the musical, Junsu is playing the role of Death, who falls in love with Elizabeth, a woman longing for freedom, by destiny.

At the premiere performance, Junsu appeared in an alluring see-through look and captivated the audience with his eyes and dances. He perfectly performed “The Last Dance” and “The Shadow Has Grown Big Today” with his distinctive husky voice and beautifully described his dark and dreamy character.

Music director Kim Moon Jung said, “Junsu’s husky voice helped make his character Death more mysterious and sexy. I think he has finally grown up as a genuine musical actor who knows how to interact with other actors and audiences. He’s genius that he could have such a great performance at the premiere performance.”

Composer Sylvester Levay said, “Junsu performed with various different charismatic looks. Sometimes he was scary, sometimes he was dark, and sometimes he was like a beast, following around Elisabeth. Junsu’s performance was so perfect and satisfying.”

Junsu said, “This is a musical performance created by the best crew and the best cast members. I’m just so proud and happy that I can be part of this play. I’m also desperately in love with Death. I wish this musical can be an opportunity for many audiences to think about their life and happiness with my sweet character Death. I’ll do my best to show you better performances.”

    • Me too. But how to be the one who gets one ticket out of 10000 that gone in 10 minutes. I hope they will do the DVD as Mozart. We will have better chance getting to see it.

      • I hope they do release a DVD since the chances of me seeing this live are basically nonexistent. Anyway, kudos to Junsu! I’m sure no one will be disappointed I was so exited just by seeing a glimpse of his performance on a shaky fancam during curtain call so I cannot imagine how it would be live.

  6. Junsu, I am so proud!! And I love this:
“I wish this musical can be an opportunity for many audiences to think about their life and happiness with my sweet character Death”. Junsu, always so intense and deep.

      • well, the one in the poster is just for promo, it doesn’t have to be the same with the real performance,,
or maybe he change costumes 2 or 3 times including the one in the poster???
just like junsu’s hair, he dyed all his hair now, unlike in the poster,
doesn’t matter though, he looks great with whatever he wore,,,^^ peace…

      • WHY ARE U WRITING IN CAPS : P

he probably wore black at some point and the white was at the closing get it, like mozart he wore red green and a black shirt ” without the blazer” so it depends on the scenes.

        THAT’S PROBABLY IT : P
